Dolma

Dolma involves vegetables like bell peppers, tomatoes, or zucchini stuffed with a mixture of rice, herbs, and sometimes meat.

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 bell peppers, tomatoes, or zucchinis
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup tomato sauce

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté rice with onions, garlic, parsley, and cilantro
  • Hollow out the vegetables and fill with the rice mixture.
  • Place stuffed vegetables in a pot.
  • Pour tomato sauce and a drizzle of olive oil over the top.
  • Cover and simmer gently for 30–40 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  • Serve warm as a main dish or side.
