Dolma
Dolma involves vegetables like bell peppers, tomatoes, or zucchini stuffed with a mixture of rice, herbs, and sometimes meat.
Ingredients:
- 3–4 bell peppers, tomatoes, or zucchinis
- 1 cup rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup tomato sauce
Steps:
- Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté rice with onions, garlic, parsley, and cilantro
- Hollow out the vegetables and fill with the rice mixture.
- Place stuffed vegetables in a pot.
- Pour tomato sauce and a drizzle of olive oil over the top.
- Cover and simmer gently for 30–40 minutes until vegetables are tender.
- Serve warm as a main dish or side.
